Welcome to NW Recruitment - A new business in Fleet

December 8, 2010

Big welcome to NW Recruitment who open for business this month in Fleet. I met Nick the founder of NW Recruitment this week to discuss his needs for a website. Nick is a very experienced recruiter who lives in Fleet and has taken the brave move to go it alone and start his own business.

NW Recruitment logo

It's always good to see new businesses starting up in Fleet, especially given the current economic climate. Their offices will be in Albert Street in Fleet so that is a positive boost to the local economy of Fleet as Nick will be generating employment opportunities for hungry young (or old!) recruiters.

Rasberry Web Design wish Nick and everyone at NW Recruitment all the best for a successful business and look out for www.nwrecruitment.co.uk which is coming online very soon!

Project Clearwater - Helping to Save Fleet Pond

October 26, 2010

The Fleet Pond Society launched Project Clearwater in 2010, with the goal of restoring Fleet Pond and improving the quality of its water and its capacity as a habitat for wildlife.

Problem with silt build up in the pond has dramatically reduced the depth of the pond which has the knock on effect on the wildlife meaning that Fleet Pond could lose its condition as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The solution is to dredge the pond but this requires a considerable amount of money. Hart Council cannot fund the work so it is down to the local people and businesses in Fleet to try to raise the £2 to 3 Million needed for the project.

The Fleet Pond Society is working hard to raise the money and need lots of support. Donation to the project can be made online via the Fleet Pond Society donations page
